As usual, the Wood River Valley experienced a marvelous summer and fabulous fall with all the attendant activities of hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, dining, symphony, gallery walks etc. And, as usual, it all went by too quickly.

All the infrastructure improvements servicing the four Lane Ranch North properties were essentially completed in the fall of 2013, and new signage, flyer boxes, additional pathways and picnic tables were added this summer. The Sun Valley Water and Sewer District’s two related projects did, however, experience delays resulting in the fact that the site still appeared to be somewhat of a construction zone into the fall. The good news is that both of these important community-wide improvements are now completed and operational with the exception of some reseeding which will happen next spring. It is interesting to note that during a hot and dry spell in August The District was precariously close to having to ration the domestic water used for irrigation. With the completion and operation of these two projects this condition is not likely to happen again in the foreseeable future. The District’s new domestic water tank located in Lane Ranch North provides the community with an additional 400,000 gallons of domestic potable water storage as well as improved pressure equalization. Equally important, the completion and use of the re-use line, and related pump station and reservoir will save the system 700,000 gallons of potable water per day which was historically used for irrigation of the Elkhorn golf course. We at Lane Ranch North are proud to have helped make these two important community improvements possible.

During the winter we will keep Pete’s lane (our access road) plowed and will maintain access to each of the four carefully planned building envelopes in Lane Ranch North. Be sure to come up and enjoy the spectacular winter views.
